What is the RSVP deadline?
Guests must RSVP by August 15th. The venue requires final headcount for all meals at this time. If we don’t hear from you before August 15th, we’ll assume you can’t attend.
Can I attend the wedding without staying onsite at the Hawkesdene Estate?
Yes, guests can find their own lodging and attend the wedding ceremony and reception on Tuesday, September 24, 2024.
What is the dress code?
The dress code for the rehearsal dinner is cocktail attire. Midi-length dresses or pantsuits for women and suits without ties for men.
The dress code for the wedding is semi-formal. We want to celebrate in style with you. A dark, classic suit and tie for men, and evening wear (cocktail and floor-length dresses or pantsuits) for women.
Do you have a registry?
Your presence at our wedding is the gift! We’re so excited to celebrate with everyone we love most.
What is the cost for lodging onsite?
The cost for lodging onsite is $600 per private bedroom. All of the rooms have either queen or king sized beds. If you are bringing your children, just let us know if you need additional space for the kids to sleep comfortably. To avoid additional costs, we will work out arrangements to ensure your kids have an air mattress or a sleeper sofa.
Do the cottages have kitchens?
Each cottage is equipped with either a kitchenette or a full kitchen with the basics for making snacks and simple meals.
Do I need to bring my own food?
Guests who opt into the dining plan will be fed breakfast, lunch, dinner and have access to the snack and non-alcoholic drink bar. Guests are encouraged to bring additional snacks for in-between meals and late nights.
Should I bring my own booze?
Yes, you should bring your own beer, wine, alcohol, or favorite mixers to enjoy throughout your time at the Hawkesdene Estate. The couple will supply beer, wine, and some spirits for the rehearsal dinner and wedding reception.
How do I pay for my lodging once I RSVP?
You can pay via Venmo, PayPal, or a check. Once you have RSVP’d, you will receive an email from the couple with details for payment.
How much does the dining plan cost?
The dining plan is $100 per person (aged 4 and older) for the duration of your stay, September 22-25, 2024. This includes dinner on the 22nd, 3 meals and snacks on the 23rd and 24th, and breakfast on the 25th.
How do I pay for the dining plan once I RSVP?
You will be sent an email with options to pay via Venmo, PayPal, or check.
Are food allergies accommodated like strict Celiacs disease for example?
Yes, allergies can absolutely be accommodated with enough notice and strict instructions from the guest. Please detail any food allergies on the RSVP form.
Can I attend the wedding without participating in the dining plan offered by Hawkesdene Estate?
Yes. Guests are not required to participate in the dining plan. The rehearsal dinner and wedding reception dinners are covered by the couple.
Can I participate in the dining plan offered at Hawkesdene Estate without lodging onsite?
Yes, the cost for the estate dining plan is $100 for the duration of the wedding celebration (September 22-25, 2024). If a guest would like to participate in only specific meals, those are $20 per person, per meal. If you’d like to opt into specific meals only, please decline the dining plan on the RSVP form and note which meals you want in the open box that say “Send a note to the couple”. Children aged 3 and under are free.

Our creative spin on delicious Mexican cuisine including Chopped Beef & Chicken, Sautéed Onions & Peppers, Spanish Rice, Mexican Corn, Refried Beans, Homemade Pico de Gallo, Salsa, Fresh Guacamole, Chopped Lettuce, Shredded Monterey Jack Cheese, Sour Cream, served with Flour & Corn Tortillas. Finish with our chef’s dessert.
Monday Night Dinner: Smokey Mountain Barbecue
A Hawkesdene signature, slow-cooked on our Lang wood-fired barrel smoker: Beef Brisket and Pulled Pork. Served with Potato Salad, Cole Slaw, BBQ Baked Beans, Yeast Rolls and house-made BBQ sauces. Finish with our chef’s dessert.
Can I bring a plus one if not stated on my invitation?
While we love that you have a special someone in mind, we do not have the ability to accommodate plus ones without a specific invitation.
Can I bring my cats? Dogs? Iguanas?
Furry, finned, or flying friends are not allowed at the Hawkesdene Estate.
Can I bring my kids?
This is a kid-friendly celebration. We have 2 of our own after all. If you would like to bring your child/children, please send an email to the couple (jacobandbriar@gmail.com) to discuss your options.
What are the best airports to fly into?
Guests can fly into either the Asheville, NC airport or the Atlanta, GA airport. The Asheville airport is just under 2 hours to the Hawkesdene Estate while the Atlanta airport is about 3 hours away.
Is a rental car required?
You will need some type of transportation to get from the airport to the Hawkesdene Estate. Guests are encouraged to coordinate with one another to share rides.

What if I RSVP and pay for lodging, but then something comes up, and I can’t make it?
In the event you have already paid for lodging, but an extenuating circumstance means you cannot attend, please email the couple (jacobandbriar@gmail.com) with as much advance notice as possible to process a refund. Refunds cannot be processed for lodging after July 1, 2024.
